Marketing Generalist

Position Objective

Make an impact at a fast-growing, software company through marketing communications, public relations, social media and direct marketing tactics with a growing eye towards aligning to overall marketing strategy. Translate complex topics into consumable content that resonates with a wide range of audiences. Deliver on content initiatives that ensure customer engagement, brand consistency and positive customer experience while attracting new customers. Remote delivery available.

This position is ideal for a communications generalist with a passion for translating technical content into copy that will connect with customers via a variety of channels. You’ll be part of a collaborative, nimble and diverse group of high achievers who will listen to your ideas and help you grow your skills along the way. Having an entrepreneurial mindset with the drive to work hard and flexibility to respond to quick turnarounds is critical for success. The best candidates will be creative, yet organized, with the ability to adapt quickly to the evolving demands of our market.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate marketing communications tactics with internal and external teams monitoring schedules, deliverables and success metrics
  • Create cross-channel content, including email, social media, events, factsheets, web, ads in support of integrated marketing plan
  • Monitor marketing content across channels for our software, competitors and the industry at large
  • Manage the scheduling, logistics and presence of events and speaking calendar to ensure all are properly prepared
  • Produce error-free content that adheres to the company’s style guidelines
  • Simultaneously manage multiple projects with short deadlines

Skills

  • 5+ years of experience with marketing, copywriting and social media experience
  • Experience with supporting a marketing communications team on the agency or client-side
  • Experience with Pardot-Saleforce’s automated marketing tool, WordPress, Microsoft Office Suite, or Elementor
  • Experience with media KPIs, web traffic metrics, SEO, buyer persona, and audience research
  • Experience with a business social media presence and social media writing, including the use of hashtags, emojis and acronyms
  • Knowledge of the latest marketing trends, developments, public relations strategies and protocols
  • Ability to write technically and creatively ranging from blog articles to social media
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance
  • BA or BS degree
